WBPSC Recruitment 2014 – Apply for 726 Assistant Professor Vacancies: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has issued a
recruitment notification for the recruitment of Asst Professor Posts.
Applications are invited for filling up 726 Assistant Professor vacancies in various

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates
upper age limit should not exceed 37 years as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxation is
applicable as per the rules.
Educational
Qualifications: Candidates must have had Good academic record and
possess the qualification of Master’s Degree level with at least 55%
marks in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent
Degree from an accredited foreign University for Assistant Professor
(arts, Humanities, Science, Social Science, Commerce, Education,
Languages, Law) for General Degree Colleges. Refer to official

Application Fee: Candidates
need to pay Rs. Rs.210/- only by Indian Postal Order and crossed and endorsed
to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted
Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India,
Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination
fees-16 other fees”. SC/ ST candidates of west Bengal and Persons with
Disabilities are exempted from paying application fee.
Selection Process:
Selection of candidates will be done based on their performance in Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates
age should be between 21 years to 32 years as on 01-01-2013. In other words
candidates must be born between 02-01-1981 to 01-01-1992. Age relaxation is
applicable as per the Govt. rules.
Educational
Qualifications: Candidates must possess the qualification of Bachelor’s
degree in Commerce of a recognized University or must be a Member of the
Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India must be a Member of the
Institute of Costs Accountants of India. Candidates must have ability to read,
write and speak in Bangali.
Application Fee: Candidates
are required to pay Rs. 210/- while SC/ ST category candidates of West Bengal
are exempted from paying application fee.
Application fee should be paid through online by system
generated fee payment challan. Fee payment will be accepted at the CBS branches
of the State Bank of India.
Selection Process:
Selection of candidates would be made based on their performance in Written
examination.
